🦎 "Written by hand during a two-month journey across Indonesia in 2013, 𝘔𝘺 𝘞𝘢𝘷𝘺 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 is a coming-of-age novel riding the tension between T's adolescent desires for magic, contrasted by a growing awareness of privilege, and the many woundings made on the sensuous world through colonialism.

Arriving in Jakarta late 2013, aiming to study temple architecture, T's interests quickly shift towards finding access and belonging in the world he is visiting, which unravels in a series of reflections, confrontations and experiences of both pain and the divine.

Via dialogues with granite temple-complexes, cute boys, snake-spirits, traditional healers and girls who dance with spiraling silver stiletto blades at a baby shower, a central question rises; 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺?" 🦎
