Something's brewing…
Join us September 4th for the opening of Plucking the Broom, a group exhibition in which we explore the very broad theme of witchcraft — both historical and contemporary.
Artists Müge Yilmaz (@mugeyilma), Venus Jasper (@venusjasper.earth), Ginevra Petrozzi (@ginevraarvenig) and Shani Leseman (@shanileseman) have created works exploring the subject from their own experiences and point of view.
"Plucking the Broom means pulling twig by twig, branch by branch, until the stereotype of the witch falls apart. What remains is a story about people who care for one another, resist, make things, believe in things, and find new ways of living together. This exhibition invites you to look again at the figure of the witch. Not a character from a fairy tale, but people who fell outside the norm and who, despite everything, continued to care, share, make and dream."
I will be showing a never-before shown ceramic mandrake pot, on a metal tripod.
